In a spectacular case, created exclusively for this edition, a giclée print featuring one of Antonio López’s most beautiful Roses is displayed, alongside the Art Book, a masterpiece of personal creation, designed exclusively by the artist for this edition. Like a personal library, ‘Landscapes’ reveals the artist’s memories and reflections through his most intimate works.

A century of art and life blend together in an edition that reads like a diary. It begins with the year 1917 and his uncle Antonio López Torres, followed by his wife, realist painter María Moreno Blasco.

Years of training, milestones in his artistic career, minor works, and unfinished scenes are reproduced on high-quality paper, offering a unique experience through the multiple and profound dimensions that shape Antonio López.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

López has been deeply involved in all stages of the creation process, paying special attention to color reproduction in the Art Book.

Hand-sewn with cotton thread, each section of the volume reflects the artisanal craftsmanship and high quality.

The cover with the image of one of the artist's most recognizable cityscapes is composed for later attachment to the book.

The cover is attached to the volume's
casing with special glue, a painstaking process that is done entirely by hand.

Made of wood, the artisan cabinetmakers cut each of the pieces separetly and then join and assemble the display case and the stand.

Both the artist name, “Antonio López”, and the title, “Paisajes”, are one by one laser engraved on the side that closes the display case.

To give them a distinguished and spectacular touch, the display case and all the wooden pieces are painted in noir gray monochrome.

The placement of the glass in the display case recreates the window of a Madrid building from which the artist did the painting on the cover of the Art Book.

Limited edition print, numbered and stamped with the seal that guarantees the gliclée printing technique, alonside the artist’s signature, and presented in a transparent frame for protection and exhibition.

The artist’s signature on each of the 2,998 copies is the final touch to complete this exceptional edition.

The design of the case offers several options for display, depending on whether you want to enjoy the glicée print, the Art Book or both at the same time.

Antonio López

Antonio López

(1936) Spanish Realism is written under a proper name: Antonio López, one of the most important contemporary artists from our art history. His work incorporates elements from various artistic movements, such as Cubism and Surrealism.

However, starting in the 1960s, he moved away from the oneiric to develop a more objective approach. His works form an autobiographical narrative that spans painting and sculpture.
